Who is DJam ?
I think I've always been the biggest fan of music. From my earliest memories I can still remember trying to get a signal on my hand held transistor AM radio. I remember getting my first record in 1976 (Kiss-Destroyer) and my first record player. But it wasn't till my uncle had a party at my parent's house one summer ; when I saw what music can do for people. My uncle was a musician and he brought some equipment to the house along with 2 turntables and a "Licorice Pizza" crate full of records. I watched him setup this equipment and start to play music. People danced to the late hours of the night and the music kept everything flowing. Let's just say I was mesmerized. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to make people happy with music.
In the years that followed I started DJ'ing various parties, weddings, nightclubs, and any other event people wanted good dance music. I took my craft overseas and DJ'd in Germany where I happened to be serving my country proudly. Always the common denominator was getting people out there dancing and feeling happy.
For the past 18 years I think I've done that, made people happy. The equipment may have changed, the music may have changed. But people still want to have fun and if I can still provide quality entertainment, I think I'm doing a pretty good job.
